it's just as easy as the sit down part. Once you have the bolts out, the rear seat is hanging on two hooks on the metal between the seat and the trunk. Basically lift the seat up like you would be taking a painting off the wall. Don't pull out, pull up.

88's still had the same metal bumpers, but they had the new lower bumper with the built in fog lights. Btw, the "e" doesn't really mean it's the "economy version" as far as bumpers are concerned, just the engine. 89-91 bumpers I'm not sure, they probably do, but they're not something that will...

I've always used 15" and have been happy with them... I wouldn't go any larger than 16".

Well, that pretty much covers it... other than... while you're flushing the coolant, replace all water hoses, and try to replace all vacuum hoses. The vacuum hoses very rarely get changed and if they crack and cause vacuum leaks can make troubleshooting engine problems very misleading. Coolant...

I don't know much about offsets, but there are not too many people that put 18''s on... usually the largest I see on E30's are 17".

okay, but you should be testing the fan clutch at idle speed right? Because fan should have the most "grip" at idle right? The faster the engine turns, the easier it should be to stop it right? Or does the fan clutch hold the fan with the same amount of resistance all the time? (I sound like...

You're right Dan, cheapest thing first. Test the mixture, flush it, bleed it for a while, check your bleeder hole on the water pump, and check oil and coolant to see if they're mixing. The thing about head gasket failure is that those two fluids don't need to mix... you could be burning off...
