I've had my parking brake junk break on me before... just took it appart and took all the broken stuff out. (Actually, that was my first BMW problem I ever had)
My cabrio also came with those basketweaves, but were not included when I actually bought it as I wanted to pay less for the car than...
Nice car! You're going to love it!
I've got a manual top, and I think I'd rather have that than a power top. (Have you seen how much it costs for new parts for power tops?!) The only real advantage for a power top is that you can put the top up at a stoplight. It's probabaly more trouble...
Cadillac? Never heard of them.
Nobody drives caddy's any more. You might be able to see one if you can see past all the BMW's, Audi's, Mercedes', G35's and 350z's, Vettes, Porsches, and SUVs around here.... Cadillac is virtually non-existant in my area (province). There are a couple old...
Graham is very good, knows what he's talking about... learned a few things from him... also, his E30 is tight, M badge or not. (gotta get myself an M-technik body kit)
The Exhaust looks good, hope it sounds good. Just wondering about your front wishbone bushings... one looks like rubber and the...
Joseph, those seats might not be in his car though. Not all sport seats are Recaro's.
Best check the other seat diagrams too, just in case. Better yet, pop the back of the seat cover off and check it out... then you'll know what you're dealing with.
That's what E30 are all about! :) Welcome to the club! Unfortunately, I've never had that problem, so I can't tell you how to fix it. However, you'll have about 25,000 other little annoying problems, and we should be able to cover most of them.[cheers]
Yeah, see, I'm 6'4" as well... I got a MOMO "Fighter" 350mm (13.8"). It's not too small that it makes driving difficult or tiring, but it makes getting in and out a heck of a lot easier. This was in fact the first thing I did to my first BMW about 7 years ago... and I still have the same...
I was looking at checking that car out myself!! (seriously) Have you taken a look at it in person yet?
I've had two 1986 E30 325e's which I still have a good amount of spare parts for, which definately come in handy when owning an old BMW. The whole car can be worked on at home, but it's not...
No, no tilt on E30's. Why do you need tilt steering? Too tall? (That is my probelm with E30's) I just put a smaller diameter wheel on (MOMO), now I don't bang my knee every time I get in.
Seriously, Chuck's will be your best bet... I've got tonnes of used parts off of him... clusters, windows, jacks, tow hooks, MAF sensors, 1 engine, all sorts of stuff. Give him a call, I'm sure he'll have one.
Welcome to the board! My blower doesn't work either, but I just go fast and the hot air flows in on it's own... it's not cold enough here in Ontario for me to worry quite yet:)
There are a couple "BMW only" places out here in Mississauga where you can get a used blower, or a new resistor...
