    95 M3 Lightweight on AutoTrader!

"AM/FM Stereo, Cassette" Where? The dash is bare! "Nappa leather or cloth seating" huh? one or the other? Why would a M3 "Lightweight" have air conditioning? Probably a stickered up M3. Too good to be true isn't it? The first thing to do when someone buys it is to remove the ugly...

    91 M5 - interior noise?

If I had an E34 M5 instead of my E34 525i, not only would I want to hear more noise, but I'd expect to hear more noise. I'm not sure about the size difference of your tires in regards to the width of the treads or the tread design itself, but your 525i probably had narrow tires. (my snow tires...

    Heavy Steering

I've changed my rack before, and yeah, it's pretty easy, except for attaching the universal joint to the rack dowel. But I was wondering if the inner parts of the rack which is where I've narrowed the problem down to, can be replace or repaired. That would save me the time and money of...

    sweet revenge !!!

holy crap! if anyone did that to my car, let alone if I had an M3! I don't even know how mad I would get. I don't think I've ever been that mad, and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to be anywhere near me:) (she forgot to jump up and down on the hood)

    Automatic vs manual

Definately go with a manual... I've driven a 325i auto, and a 328i manual, and I can definately say the 328i was much faster and responsive than the auto... plus, all I hear about auto's is that they crap out on everyone over 200,000km... and they suck. Manual for sure.

    Heavy Steering

The inner rack ends I think are the problem, thats where it looked loose when my Dad wiggled the tires when I had it up on jack stands... they can't be repaired/rebuilt?

    Inside Car Heater Problem

it opens and closes a valve in the water line, if it's closed, no water in the core, no heat exchange, if it's open, it'll be hot... I can't remember if the valve is in the engine compartment, or if it's under the dash. (I need to find that damn book!)

Shift knob with B&M short shifter

You can get shift knobs just about anywhere online... BMP Design, Bavarian Auto., wherever, for about $100 give or take $20. I think aftermarket shift knobs are much better than the factory knobs (at least those that come on E30 and E34s). They are soft and you can twist them and bend them...

    Inside Car Heater Problem

there's a valve that controls the coolant going through the heater core... it's probably stuck closed. I can't find my book on the E30 (been missing for months)... I've never replace one, but I had the same problem.

Confused Newbie looking at 3s and 5s

I can tell you (as Kirby and selvia have) that there is a huge difference between a 318 and a 525, as I now have both (both are manual tranny). The 318i is fun and kinda quick especially off the line, but does not cruise on the highway well with regards to noise and comfort, but the handling is...

    Heavy Steering

My girlfriend drives an '87 325i. I just put the snow tires on it (195/65r15), and she's complaining of a wobbly steering wheel at around 80-90km/h which didn't happen with the factory rims. The front tires are balanced, and should be fine (they're almost new). What I'm wondering about is the...

    '85 325e overheating problems.

I'll back Justin up on the fan clutch. check it first. Also, the rad is original, it might be clogged up and not exchanging heat very well, and old coolant doesn't help either, but the fan clutch is a pretty common problem with these cars.

    Found me a winter beater!

Frolf, what don't you like about my E30, besides the rims? (In that picture it's sitting funny because I pulled the E-brake when I was still rolling, so it rolled up on it's suspension... and I'm hoping to lower it next spring with some Bilsteins, and H&R's, and maybe some Racing Dynamics sway...
