Well, there are only so many probabilities to look at when it comes to no spark. Cap and rotor, igintion wires, ground strap, ignition coil, plugs, ECU... what did he say after "there's no spark"? Couldn't he narrow it down for you?

You're right Graham... I think good E30's are definately not going to get cheaper, more like rarer, and more expensive.... (we paid $8K for a mint 89 325i), and I think we could probabaly flip it in a few years for more than what we paid. The two cabrio's in the driveway are in very good shape...
