I wouldn't worry too much about what suspension you have... Is it firm, or is it riding low because it's shot? If your suspension is stock, it doesn't really have any markings, and if it's aftermarket, you'll only be able to maybe find markings on the springs and the rear shocks... the front...

pull it with the tranny connected to the engine. All you have to do is losen 3 bolts on the guibo, and your shift linkage, and the tranny mount support, and it'll slide out like a... something slippery. As far as the sizes go, they're porbably 17mm or 19mm... couldn't you just grab them all?

Well, if it's free, you have to take it. Just put some money into it to make sure it's going to be roadworthy for your trips home. When you know that certain jobs have been done, you won't be worried about parts failing on you in the middle of a winter's drive.
