A couple of tin cans at Wendy's

True. There is an Enzo screaming around Toronto somewhere (seen it once)... I've seen 3 different SLR's around here too. Veyron, where are you? There's also a tuned Bentley GT just around the corner from my work.

A couple of tin cans at Wendy's

Just a couple of cars I snapped on my lunch break yesterday. The guy that owns the Maserati came out of Wendy's first, looked at the Mercedes-Mclaren, shook his head, and got into his "cheaper" car. Just when he thought he had the nicest car in the lot:) I guess you don't go through the drive...

I do not mean to be a pain with another question

What's a radio? Sirius, MP3's, CD's. As far as I know there is no external antenna (isn't one on my E34). http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BE53&mospid=47480&btnr=65_0049&hg=65&fg=30

    Chrysler announces lifetime powertrain warranty!

Very, very good point! People might lose the "play and throw away" attitude about their American car. Well worth your $.02 [cheers]

    A/C Question

Welcome to the "E30 with A/C that doesn't work" Club. AKA the "4/60" club. If you can find a shop that will work on AC you're lucky, or you're about to be ripped off.

    detailed engine tune-up extravaganza!

Aaaaah the joys of the E30. You can do $1000 worth of work and it will all be completely invisible to the naked eye. If you skip working on them for a few days, something will go wrong, and then you'll have to work on it for a few days and you'll fall behind on all the stuff you should have...

removal of n/s/f wing on 320i?

there's a wing near the windshield?

    525i?!?

I paid $3800 for my 1992 525i 5 speed, and that has the M50 in it. If the body is in nice shape, and the engine doesn't burn a gallon of oil a week, it should be okay. You can always do better on the price. Save your eta engine just in case. Buying an 88 525i is pretty much going to be the...

    Chrysler announces lifetime powertrain warranty!

Exactly... everything esle will go wrong before any powertrain problems and the car will be long gone.

    UUC short shifter installed!

That will be quite hard to do... you'd almost be better off having your seats re-covered. Where did you install the vacuum gauge in the car, and where did you hook it up to the engine?

another update on 1984 325E black smoke. Getting wierder.

well, go to any mechanic and if they have the right computer, they can do it. A guy near my house has a computer that'll read the fault codes... for $70.

    UUC short shifter installed!

Man, I tried it on the floor of my garage (and failed) when I first got the bloody thing, so then I was just waiting for my buddy's hot rod to get off bloody the lift. What's new and exciting with your car? How is she coming along?

    UUC short shifter installed!

The thing is, alot of the flex in the shifter (on old cars) is down on that rubber bushing on the tranny... it's super easy to pop out because it's so useless. The idea of a short shifter is changing the goemetry of where the pivot ball is. When you remove the carrier to replace the bushing...

    UUC short shifter installed!

I did this job on a hoist so it'll be a bit harder to do from the floor. All I did was remove the mounts and let 'er come down. The problem was getting the clip off, and unless you can get it from behind the tranny, you're going to have to pry it off by comming along the top of the tranny...
