I've never actually seen an E30 wagon in Ontario, or anywhere other than Europe... it's a little pricy... Looks sweet though. Thought I'd let you all know. It's at a used dealer... they've got a couple 6ers for sale too...
In my opinion, an E30 is the most fun you can have driving a Bimmer. For 3500 buck, a 325e/es (1984-1987) would be a good starter car. There's tonnes of torque, and with a chip and K&N air filter you can get about 200 ft/lbs. BHP isn't too high (121) but the thing will lay rubber, no problem...
My E30 325e does that. I'm pretty sure its supposed to. When it flashes, it wants you to tap the brakes so that the "Check" computer can see if you've got a burnt out light. If you don't have a burt out light, the light goes off on it's own... if you have one burnt out, it'll stay on.
