Hmm... I just replaced a broken spring on my Aunts 94 325is, and it was broken in almost the exact same spot as yours. She didn't spin or anything, but she lives on a farm in the country with lots of nice pot holes... funny how her upper shock mounts looked fine though.

I think you're right... but the horsepower is different. 115 for an "i" 140 for an "is", both are 1796cc.

Turning off the ignition, and then turning it to the On position without restarting the engine does not lock the steering... but yeah, what an idiot.... there are so many ways to stop the car.... gearing down, neutral, braking... I hope he can't bring himself to drive any more... makes everyone...
