    I'm leaning towards factory mounts... I'm thinking that factory mounts, even though they will fail, will give me a bit of a nicer ride. Basically, I'm affraid that these aftermarket $100 mounts are more for track cars, and are going to punish my 16year old car more than I want.

    What happens when you use SUMMER tires all year round?

    I got caught with my summer tires on in a snowfall once. Goodyear Eagle F1 Gs D2's... Incredible tire! Then it snowed, I couldn't stop, go, or turn. The car became undriveable. This is a very aggressive tread pattern, some summer tires are bearable in a wintery situation.

    Suspension specs

    17'' is as big as anyone with an E30 usually goes. Do the suspension first, then pick out rims. If you really want true rideheight adjustablility, you need a coil-over kit, which I'm sure H&R makes for the E30. Pricey though, but all worth it. Better for track cars though.
