VDO and lots of other guage companies make kits to measure oil pressure and temperature... coolant pressure can be measure with a gauge that attaches to your rad cap, or in your case, the overflow reservoir.

YES! [hihi] Seriously, works for me! Actually, it's not uncommon for the temp gauges in the E30's to go off into their own little world. Never had a problem with the Motometer unit, but the VDO unit gave me trouble with my temp gauge back in the day. Firm thump and it smartens up.

Probably a bad connection... fiddle around with it, it's probably nothing.

What part doesn't fit? Should be 5x120 bolt pattern for both. BTW, welcome to the board... nice to have another Ontario member!

There is no chip. As far as I know, the E36's had a common problem with ignition cylinders, particularily the ones that have heavy keychains stuck in them all the time. Your keys should be an exact match, so there should be no reason one would work in one door and not the other... maybe they...

Damn, all I got was a BMW keychain! I did get a nice cheque from my grandma though... gunna go buy a nice BMW watch with it.

oh, that's not your top, it's just the liner. My roof has no liner. I wouldn't be too worried about it... any interior shop can do a new one for you.

That's how it's supposed to work. that's how you make sure the circuit is in tact. All I would do is remove the "check" bulb and unplug the control panel. No more silly lights.
