okay, my old 1986 325e had a fuel filter located in the engine compartment. Fact. It is mounted on the frame rail, under the brake cylinder, which is a real pain in the ass to get at. My peice of crap 1988 325i has one mounted under the drivers side rear just before the wheel arch. Cliff...
plus everyone has a lambo these days, and I swear to god I can't go downtown Toronto without seeing a Quadroporto or Grand Tourismo, never mind the cheap little spyders and coupes. (My neighbour has an old 80's Bi-turbo that just sits there!)
I'm almost willing to bet you that your brake master cylinder reservoir has the little spout on the side of it for the hose to go to the clutch master cylinder. I know that the auto E30's in the driveway have the little spout for the tube, even though they're automatic trannies.
I don't think any 318i's can have cruise control, at least not on any E30's with that M42. I don't think they'd be wired for it, and I don't think your throttle will have the proper location for the extra cable. Not an option, sorry.
I doubt it's the kiddy locks... they still work normally from the outside, you just can't open them from the inside, like you said, Detrich. He must have tried to open them from the outside. I've had a door stick on me. Nothing that beating the $#!+ out of it with work boots from the inside...
Not true. On your car, true, but the brake master cylinder reservoir is also the reservoir for the clutch juice. Your car (right side drive) probably has a little reservoir on the firewall, right? North America is one reservoir.
I've had to do the same repair with the same symptoms. I...
M20 is your engine. Your engine code is M20B25, and there is an M20B27, M20B20, and M20B23.
I've never really had problems with the sunroofs, and of course my current E30 doesn't have one, so I'm not of much use to you.
Welcome to the board though!
Personally, I would never do the swap. Waste of my time for very little difference in anything, other than wheel choices. You can still do big brake kits with larger rims with 4 bolts.
