Which Tires to Purchase ?

Hello,

I am due for replaceming tires on my 1996 328i. Wanted to get info on which ones to get ?
I had Michelin MXV4 from the factory. I liked them.
Then I replaced them with the same after 60K miles.
After that I wanted to try something difference since the prices on the Michelin's was outrageous. So I got the Bridgestone Turanza LSH. However, I was not very happy with them. Something didnt feel right. I did not feel safe on the road (the car felt lighter all of a sudden) and the road noise is higher compared to the Michelin's.
Now I am ready to replace them with something else. I am ready to go ahead and spend the money for the Michelin's but before that I wanted to ask the Guru's here and see what kind of feedback I get.

well, as a person who runs summers and winters, i can't give you any experience derived advice.

if i ever switched to all seasons (please god never) i would probably find something good and stick with it, where as with performance tires its fun to try a bunch of new things, when you car is at its limit, and the tires are at their limit, the difference between two different tires can be huge. all seasons you don't really have to worry about that.

i'd read some reviews on tirerack or whatever tire site you like to browse, and if nothing compelling is found go back to your beloved michelins

Which tires to Buy ? Update

I live in Dallas, Texas and it hardly ever snows here, but it does rain off and on, so I would need tires that can handle well in wet roads. Roads are straight with no mountains etc.

Michelin Aqua Treads are great in the rain, such as we get here in the Seattle area. I would not use rains tires unless you are talking about frequent rain. Kuhmo makes a great tire, inexpensive, such as the Estca. I have them on my roadster.
