Sticking driver window

Lately I noticed that my driver's side window was sticking when I press the switch. The window would only go down about an inch at a time so I am here pressing the button at least 8 times to get the window up. I picked up a new window switch yesterday thinking that was the problem. When I installed it, the window worked seamlessly but when I fired up the rocket this morning for work it did the same thing as the last switch. Not sure which direction to go next with this one.....need some assistance if anyone has ever had this problem. Thanks in advance

sticking driver window

I have a similar problem with the driver window on my 1998 328iC.

While trying to put the window up, it stops well short of the top (4") and then retracts down an inch and stops. It sometimes takes pushing the up button 3 or 4 times before it goes all the way up.

I have taken it to the dealer (Long Beach BMW) several times and have been told, there is nothing they can do about it. [:(!]

try taking the door panel off and lubing the nylon slides, as well as the regulator. If its binding, its probably gonna go "pop", and cost you some $$$$$ to repair...

lube the white plastic slides and if it still dont work replace them with new ones before really taking it to the stealership.
i've done it to mine several times everytime the window pops out the track [:(!] .
