Does anyone here know how to remove the foglight lense of the 2004 325i to switch out the bulb? The 2001 model has it explained in the owner's manual, but the 2004 manual doesn't mention it. Thanks-

If your fogs are like mine, they are replaced from behind the assembly. Not from the front. Since there are no removeable plastic pieces on the front of your bumper, you would have to access them from the wheel well or underneath. I think it's easier for you to remove the forward wheel well plastic. Just undo the appropriate plastic pop rivets and pull away the front piece. You can then easily remove the lamp assembly and then the lamp. Alternately, you may be able to get them from underneath by removing the covers all the way across the front under and to the rear of the bumper.

Are you putting in aftermarket xenonmatch type bulbs?

Yeah- I'm planning to put on PIAA Halogen bulbs when the stock bulbs give out. Thanks for the input, bmwrocks (I know it does [:D] ). I'm not going to change them anytime soon since I've only had my car for 5 days, but it's good to know for the future.

I've also read your posts on previous threads on how you've removed your foglight unit. I figured that since my car is a 325i, that a different approach would be needed to replace my bulbs.

I guess it's more of a hassle to replace the 03-04 325i foglight bulbs than the it was for the 99-01 models because on my bro's '01 325i, I just needed to pop open the lense with a screwdriver and the lamp comes right off (this was the method suggested in the '01 3 series owner's manual).
