Hey, i test drove a bmw yesterday, i was horrible. for some reason i felt like i didnt have control over the wheel. i think its too small or/and the power steering was messed up is it how it should be? ( sorry for my stupid question but i drive a ford taurus and i still get more pleasure, anything wrong with me?!? hehe ) so are all bmws supose to be the same, i drove a 94 325is but the place that had it isnt exacly what you would expect from a dealer so tommorow im going to jacobs bmw maybe it will turn out better. i kinda got dissapointed i waited to get all the $$$ for the car i want and it wasnt exacly it. Anyone had simmilar experience?

Umm, do you mean to say that it's harder to turn the wheel than on your Taurus? If that's it, then I think that's how all bimmers are, atleast from my experience. You will get used to it, trust me. I was driving my dad in his Avalon when he was drinking and the wheel is a lot easier to turn. Then the 325 came along and after just a couple of weeks we went upstate and I drove the Avalon (it was a space issue so we didn't take the 3er) on some mountain roads and it felt like a beer can on wheels. The wheel felt too light to even get close to feeling the road, now I can't go back, honostly. On the other point that you made about the wheel beign too small, well, formula 1's have even smaller steering wheels, see my point here? It's a sports sedan or a coupe in your case. Hope I got everything right, correct me guys if I messed something up, or missed something.

Be more specific about the issue. I've had power Steering issues with my car. That's about 5 days ago. However, i had that problem because the fan belt was broken. The steering wheel was hard as a rock. I don't think that's what you mean though but try to clearify your point.

Hmmm that's weird, I've driven a few cars (Ford Taurus, Ford Escort, VW Bus, Chevy C10, etc.) and my Bimmer is by far the easiest when it comes to turning, plus I feel connected to the road still.

Totally agree with you. You know exactly where the car will go and you feel the road so much better. [headbang]BMW ALL THE WAY.[headbang]
