So I'm a student at UCI here, and long story short, I came to find my car violated in the parking lot before my journey to LA.

Someone had yanked out the two clear parking signals, and the two fog assemblies. Of course that really sucked, and I was heartbroken for a little bit, but I was glad that nothing else had been done.

So I filed a report, had the cop give me a lecture about this kind of thing (while constantly staring at the car), and then he found my kendo stick in the back seat, which was kind of fun. [:D]

So the question is my friends:

What can I do to better secure these puppies when I put them back in? I think I'm just going to somehow screw, bolt, glue them somehow to make it close to impossible to take out again. Any ideas?

It was bound to happen. I was busy all week, and didn't get a chance to check up on the car like I usually do--and someone had been eyeing it, put their mind to doing something to the car, and did it. I do go to UCI--but I doubt it was a rice-rocketeer hating on the car. Probably was someone who could use what they stole. Whatever. This isn't happening again.

I appreciate it guys. Take care.

i don't know dude, that sucks. you sure are calm about it. i'd be in caps lock instantly. i don't know what the latest and greatest alarms offer, but thats something to think about. its just too bad plastic doesn't conduct electricity, if you catch my drift wink wink, cause then if someone, wink, were to grab onto your tail lights, wink, they could get soft, wink, little, wink, shock to the brain.

I totally agree. I'd be in prision. I freak out way too easily over that kind of stuff. Maybe becuase my car is the only thing I've ever put so much time and money into and it still gives me a good time[drinking] I dont even think girls do that [fake]

That really sucks man!!!!!!!!! [thumbd]

When I replaced my headlights two months ago, I was going to throw away my old headlights, but my Uncle smacked me upside the head and told me to save the old ones because you never know.

I just ordered me a pair of Crystal Clear Parking lights, so reading that makes me a little uneasy.

I would say DON'T secure them any more solidly. If you super attatch them to the car, then a thief will effe up your paint and bodywork tying to pry them off, so then you would have broken lenses and dented bodywork.
