I am not 100% certain, but knowing a bit about A/V I would say yes. There must be a mode you can select on your system to listen on those connectors, no? Is there an AUX or AV or something like that?
What kind of connectors are the sockets? Are they RCA jacks? If so, then get an adapter that has the small plug on one end and RCA jacks on the other, plug the plug into your ipod headphone jack and the RCAs into the audio in on the back of the console and see what you can hear. Switch through the modes on your system until you hear that ipod playing away.
