Interior Lights

My interior lights on my '94 325 convertible do not come on when I open the driver's side door. They work with the ignition and the passenger's door. Any advise is appreciated.

sounds like the switch on the door is not making take it out replace it or lightly sand the areas of contact and this should do the trck if not post back

The driver's side seems to be intermittent. The passenger side works every time. Is this connected to the interior lights?

I also have A 94 convertible that had the same problem. I repaired it myself. You have a bad microswitch. Follow this link, it should solve your problem.

What is the production date on your car? Mine is 11/93 so according to that post it should have a different microswitch. Do you know if the procedures are still the same?

The production date of my car is also 11/93. Follow the steps. The procedure is the same. You can do it yourself. The microswitch is about $25.00. The part number given is for the driver side door. Let me know it you have any problems. The microswitch will allow the window to drop down, turn on the lights, and the door to lock properly.
