exhaust question...

I wanted to wrap my exhaust with exhaust tape or cloth.......does anybody konw where i can buy the heat-resistant stuff that you wrap the exhaust in, to keep the underhood temps down???

Heat Wrap your Exhaust? ... Hmmm Why would you wan't to HeatWrap your exhaust? HOTTER = MOREHP out of exhaust correct? Maybe heatwrap your Radiator tubing, with it...but anyway, heatwrap stuff like that go to Like Home Depot or something, any hardware store

yea thanks.....heat wrap the exhaust to keep the same hot temp throughout the entire length; i.e., cold air is denser so it would move slower, hot air is less dense->move faster. And to heat wrap the intake, for obvious reasons, (cold air).

you said heat wrap the exhaust... not the intake, and yes it would make sense to put heat shields away from intake, and heatwrap other things in the engine to koo the hot air from exposing to the intake, where as i'm planning to put the heatshield wall
