E36 328i sports package vs e36 M3 suspension

I was wondering if anyone knows for a FACT what the difference is between the suspension (shocks and springs only...I know the wheels are different) of a sports package equiped E36 328i and an E36 M3.

Are they the same or different. If they are the same, what kind of markings should I expect to see on the actually springs to indicate that they are M-tec.

Im pretty sure that the M3 has a diff. suspension, like it is more stiff and it handles better.

the m3 is also lower than the 328 and there is a lot you can do to the 328 suspensioon and really not much oyu can do to the m3, its perfect

Are we talking about 328i (non-sports package equiped) OR 328i (sports package equiped)?

the 328iS has 24mm sway bars

the M3 has 22.5mm sway bars BUT better/stronger mounting points.

I guess I'm most interested in knowing for a fact whether the springs off of an E36 M3 are the same as the springs off of a sports package equipped 328i (4-door).
