Door wont open!!!

OK So next new problem. As I await my appt to replace my Sliptronic(the local dealer wont give me a rental either, cause I bought car at competitor) I stumbled across this one.

Sunday I took advatage of the awsome NY weather and decided to wash the car and put a coat of Z6 on the car, well after I was done I dropped the windows to put the top down and heard a huge crunch from inside the passenger door panel. I put the windows up and down a few times and the noise got less and less and went away. Later that day I went to open the passenger door and IT WONT OPEN! The window works fine but now the door wont open from the outside.


So now I have a awsome convert with a sliptronic, a door that wont open, with a window that wont seal(motor replaced and adjusted wrong), and a radio that I cant read in any kinda light.

as the window was going down there was a huge crunch inside the door?
that just doesn't make any sense...

i think that if u have that many problems with your (is it new?) car then u
should find a better dealer, or be more assertive with the one u have now
dealers are notorious for thier stupidity and also for thier cleverness. so
be assertive with the rep, make sure he knows who you are, and tell him
u want everything fixed.

I'm wondering if the misadjusted window arm somehow knocked off the handle for the outside when your window was brought down? Are there any tell tale marks on the window?

No Nothing on the window, but funny thing is a guy in my gym told me the exact same thing happened to his 325 about a month ago. But I havent seen him in the gym since sunday(I havent gone LOL)

Reminds me of what happened ot my friend in his M Coupe. Door wouldn't open and he couldn't fit through the windows. Moonroof only tilts, doesn't slide. He had to exit through the trunk.

Apparently, the workers at the local BMW dealer thought it was funny too. Normally, I don't think you should laugh at a customer, but since I woulda laughed if I saw that too, I forgive them.

Our 04 330 outside handle on the drivers door stopped working a few months after we got it, it went back in and they had to replace a cable in the door. Probably the same thing.
