right guys i got BMW dealer to fix the problem, and they did a pressure test and it's the radiator!!!! i am shocked as he said it has bellowed and leaking from the bottom.

I am shocked as i have never had a car that the radiator went after 70k miles!!! seems a bit odd, but i am also dissapointedthat my BMWhasmore problems then my ford carsput together :(
Pwwt, my damn land rover needed a new radiator at 60k. How much did it cost to get it replaced?

to get it replaced (i am in the UK) it was £232.65p!! from main dealer!!
I cannot believe BMW make a radiator that cannot last more then 70K miles! they said it was leaking due to wear and tear!

ok guys BMW performed a pressure test and they said my radiator had bellowed and it was losing coolant there. I replaced it by using a BMW specialist. And collected it yesterday drove a 100mile journey to my brothers house and to my shock the coolant still seems to be going down!!

No signs of mayo on the engine oil cap, hose's seem new ? anybody got any ideas?
is there anything to do with air in the system needs to be bled out?

possibility but not likely. bleed it though...it doesn't hurt to try. mine is doing the same thing. i can drive it on the hiway for a while and if i stop for gas and crank her back up it goes up to 3/4 then goes back to half. i haven't taken it to the mech yet...actually, i took it to him but he was replacing the shock tower on the rear. thing broke i guess and let me tell you, its one the ugliest noises i have ever heard. the girlfriend said fix it or no more rides from her:)

yes i been driving the car on the motorway only and the coolant goes down by about 2" which is not that much for a 120 mile run each way. But i am going to drive it like this for a month to see if there is air in there it will clear out, it might be the mechanic didn't bleed out all the air out of the system when the radiator was replaced.
