clutch question

i was wondering when is a good time to repalce the clutch on my 98 bmw 328. it has a high friction point and i got it recently and am not sure when to replace it. i think it is fine but want to make sure. it has 62000 miles by the way. [driving2]

Just adjust the clutch pedal... there should be a few nuts above the pedal itself inside the spring that you can adjust.

My clutch has 174,500 miles on it, and doesn't slip one bit.

does any one have a stick 328 that has had the clutch replaced.

I have a 325 with a clutch replaced at 100,000mi

Yeah if it slips excessivly when changing gears and/or slips under heavy load, eg. big power or going up hills. I bought my new clutch from RPM Racing inc. helpful guys and a good price. 631-423-0275 ask for Abe.
