Hey guys-
I just recently aquired a 94 525i w/5speed. It was given to me with around 192,000. The transmission (as i have been told) has a crack in the housing. Also at random times the dashboard lights and lic plate light will stay on after the car is off and locked (and yes the lights are turned off). I know the transmission is somewhat a major expense, but how much am i looking at? Can it be welded back? I was told by a local dealer the wiring harness needed replaced and that would fix the dash lights. Thanks for any help you can give
