3-series build quality - Germany vs S Africa

I am curious if anyone has any information or personal accounts which might indicate any build quality differences in the cars built in S. Africa vs those built in Germany. How does one determine if a car has been built in Germany or S. Africa?

They build their cars in S. Africa? Ew, dude...I would specifically ask for it to be built in Germany. Oh well, my Jetta was built in Mexico.

How does one determine if a car has been built in Germany or S. Africa?

On the driver's side door frame is a sticker/plate. On that it will tell you where the car was assembled/manufactured.

I just guessing because I have never seen a SA built 3 in the states. They may build different country spec vehicles in SA.

As above, all crucial data is located on the the lower B pillar above the rocker panel.

if you look closer the car was only assembled in s.africa ... the engine/frame comes from germany ... trans from france

i dont think it matters ... bmw should stand behind their work
