Are you talking about phone meaning the rear view mirror has the assist and sos in it? That works through the shark fin antenna....totally different from the bluetooth technology. But you can call BMW assist, as long as u have the service activated and they will make a phone call to where you want and u can use through their system, although they will be on the other end since its a three way conversation.
