Is there only supposed to be one "scoop" on one of the wiper blades? I only have one on the driver side blade and comparing to the other one it looks like that is how it's supposed to be. If so, why?
Thanks

That is purely for aerodynamics, and while it does do its part for aerodynamics, other aftermarket wiper blades have their own aerodynamic styles. So my point is that when it comes to change your wiper blades, don't be afraid to get wiper blades that don't come with that aerodynamic piece on it. I personally recommend Bosch Micro Edge Excel wiper blades. [:)]

Thats what I got a few days ago and I like them. The only bad thing about them is the softness, if you get some little rocks on the windshield, they can easily ruin the blades.

The only thing i don't understand is that on other cars (other makes) i've seen it always on both blades if they have it, but mine is only on the driver side one...

GGM, I used to have a 2003 Jetta and my factory windshield wipers were just like yours. Only my driver-side wiper blade had the scoop thing. I guess it just isn't necessary for the passenger-side wiper since it already has special aerodynamic holes in the blade ?? Either way, I know it's weird, but it's not abnormal to the car. My Jetta's windshield wipers were the same way.
