whoops, need help with hose after MAF

I noticed tears in my rubber hose that is clamped to the MAF body, and the throttle body.

Question. Can I just tape up the rips?

I took off the MAF and sprayed it down with some no residue electronics cleaner (hope that is OK)

Second question, can I spary some throttle body cleaner in and around the round plate while I have the thing apart

got new hose

Got the new hose for about $25.

Good as new now.....

Sorry, just noticed your post, didn't see the original question.

My 323ic wouldn't start on Sunday, after running fine all week. It tried to fire but just stumbled. I found a cracked hose just like yours! I taped it up and she started right up.

But that was just a test fix. I am also ordering a new hose. Duct tape would get hot & brittle and start leaking.

Yep, hose is cheap, just make sure you get the right one. There are like 100 different types...You can clean the MAF sensor wires while you have it apart if you are so inclined, and check the throttle body for junk....
