I'm trying to rebuild the steering rack on my 99 z3, 2.3L, and can't seem to seperate the barrel halves of the main actuator. Where the halves screw together, one barrel half is crimped instead of a lock ring, or lock screw. Anyone know how to do this? I wrecked the car, and after replacing a bent control arm, the wheels toe in and toe out while driving, almost like one wheel isn't connected to the arm.

Thanks.

Thanks for the response, Dan. Haven't checked out that site, yet, but I will. I did find one for around $300, (can't remember brand or site), but I'd rather save a couple hundred by just buying a rebuild kit and doing it myself. Doesn't look like that's gonna happen, though. I'm gonna post the brand of the one I found and maybe you could tell me if you know anything about it?
