Tow block covers, stolen?

OK, I've had my car for two weeks now and it seems that one of those little plastic squares in the bumpers that cover the hole for the tow loop thing is missing. I called the dealer because I though it fell out and they told me they are popular items that get stoeln. Is thus true? How pathetic! They want $50 for a replacement!

ya most likely...so far in my short life (16 years) which i can remember like 8 which do with BMW's i so far remember that we have had 3 BMW roundel's stolen

Yeah, that sucks. Now I have to try and determine where it got stolen from. I assume it's the parking garage at work. I have to get one of those panning x10 cameras and have it record to a laptop in the trunk or something. Those bastards.

What the heck are those fools gonna do with those stupid little pieces of plastic?!? And why would they cost $50 to replace...that's absurd. BMW needs to rethink the pricing on those parts.

some chump lost one of his little plastic covers...when he found out how expensive they are from the dealer he just decided to steel one from somebody else. Then that poor guy who had his stolen called the dealer and found out how much they were, so he just stole someone else's. And so on, and so on, and so on...
