Hi all. I have a 94 325iC that runs great, though lately I have been having an intermittent issue. When slowing down and finally stoping at a light, the engine lopes a bit and keeps wanting to go forward a bit. It stops after a minute or so, or if I put it in nuetral. It feels like the transmission is not kicking into nuetral on its own. I dropped the tranny pan and put in new gear oil, though should I have done something else? Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hmm, interesting thing. I am guessing you have an auto, right? Well, the tranny is not supposed to go automatically into neutral at least I don't think it does and it wouldn't make any sense if it did. Anyway, enough with this. I don't think the tranny is the problem, you put it into neutral and its fine as you said. Sounds more of like the torque converter problem. When you slow down, and stop, the first minute or so it does not slip when it is supposed to and you get what you get. If you put it into neutral, it goes away because the input shaft spins freely, no matter if the converter is grabbing too much or not at all. Are you still following me? Now, I am no expert in any of this and can't tell you what is really wrong with the converter if it is the converter, just following my logical thinking so don't rely on me too much. Good luck with the whole thing.

What do you guys think, do I make any sense what so ever?
