Spraying whats the best way

Ive jus color coded my car by painting the bumper strips the same color as the car which is red, but i seem to have drip marks on the side ones the front ones came perfect, whats the best way to do it, is it better to elevate them on a stand so that the paint drips off them.

anyone advice me please.

You actually don't want paint to drip at all because then you have runs. Try to paint a lot of thin layers with a few minutes in between each one. At first you want to cover everything and naturally spray a lot of paint, but you have to fight that and pace yourself, generally thin layers come out a lot better.
