So I've had my car back from the shop for about a month now. I don't know if any of you remember the nonsense that I went through dealing with the repair shop that I took my car to BY THE RECOMMENDATION of my BMW dealer. AND BTW THE SHOP DID A HORRIBLE JOB. Never take your car to CARSTAR COLLISION CENTER. EVER!!!!!!!!!!
So I've been noticing that my driver's side door is really loose; I always knew some of those white clips needed replacing, but lately the door panel would throw itself forward when I would shut the door, and the two clips under the door handle would keep coming loose. THe other day those clips were so loose that I took it off to put it back on and I noticed that the screws behind the clips weren't even screwed in!! I was appalled that the shop didn't even do that straight. ...wait, it gets worse....
So I get a flat tire the other day and I go to remove the clip on the side of my car so I can use the jack. THE MFer didn't even remove the cap when he repainted the side molding the color he was supposed to. I tried and I tried, but I could not get that clip off. ...that's not the end....
Ok, now this next thing might be in my head, but if anyone can give me feedback I'd appreciate it. Have you ever made a turn and held your hand in one place and felt the steering wheel pass through your hand as it returns? Well, I did that the other day and I noticed the steering wheel was no longer a perfect circle!!! The top part of the circle has been pushed closer to the driver. Now, I don't know if it's supposed to be like this, or they messed it up (or even how they could mess that up). Is that top part supposed to be more forward than the rest?
I really feel like selling my car; I cannot stand finding these imperfections that are no cause of mine. It's really destroying my affection for my car. Oh, and I recently noticed they never replaced that black trim piece that goes under the bumper (were the muffler is); they put the old one back on and charged the insurance company for a new one. How special.
