smoke from air conditioning??

I have a 2003 330i Sedan with 28k miles on it. I started my car in the parking garage at work this afternoon and the strangest thing happened. What appeared to be white smoke came out of my main AC vents when the car was started and the system fired up. It was white smoke and didn't smell burnt, but kind of ozoney??? Anybody have an idea of what this was or had it happened before? I still have some warranty left but I want to have an idea of what happened before going to the trouble of bringing it in in case it was a fluke. Any input would be appreciated.

Its good that you have warranty left on the car. Usually white smoke is associated with a coolant leak.

It's probably just condensation on the a/c evaporator coil that was released as the evaporator began to get cold. It happens if the humidity is right.

Sometimes the AC air is so cold, it looks like smoke, but is actually
just the cold air hitting warm air.

Hasn't happened with my beemer, but did on an older car. You can
tell it's not really "smoke" because the car doesn't fill up with smoke.

Well he did say it smells like Ozone, so I assume that's the smell of coolant.
