i'd go out and get a book on your year/model if you want to do these types of repairs yourself. it'll pay for itself on the first project by protecting you from mis-information and waiting for the answer here. on my 1.9 i think the sensor is screwed into the block under the intake manifold and blower, but yours may be easier to get to? even if it is under there you might get at it from underneath. sometimes Ebay can be useful in providing a picture of what it is you're looking for, besides finding the parts(and books) at considerable discount. don't forget to bleed the cooling system after you change the sensor! (directions are in the book)
