I took out my spark plugs and there was oil all over the threads. Im not sure what the problem is to fix. Also, when i start my car sometimes, it revs up to 2500rpm then goes back down to almost a stall and eventually finds its way to idle. I have a new IAT sensor and a dinan chip installed on it. This used to only happen when it was cold now it does it hot or cold. maybe the coolant temp sensor? I dont know. seems like this stuff is hitting me at once. Any comments would be appreciated. bmw4life [bmwkick]

Replace the valve cover gasket, its cheap and pretty easy. I'm not sure how to fix the cold start problem, but I have yet to be in a bmw that doesn't suck for the first 30 seconds.

Thanks: but that isnt all of my problems. I let my girlfriend drive it and her pomerainian loves to go back and forth between the front seats. I think he stepped on my automatic/manuel button, and my g/f drove like automatic in manuel. Now my tranny slips badly from 2nd to 3rd, sometimes 3rd to 4th. I have to drive it in manuel to not slip. I hope its electrical, but i dunno. Also, anyone know how to get egg off of the vinyl/leather? Thanks guys

The valve cover gasket is simple. I pressure washed my valve cover while it was off. The gasket was brittle and needed to go.

Epj3,
Dang, who's the blonde?!?!?!

DrDan,
The car has windows, eject the dog at +100.
