Mini One Atomatic

Dear all,

I have recently purchased a 2002 Mini One automatic

The autobox glides into reverse, however,

When you place the car into drive there is an alarming " jerk "
and apparent surge.

The car drives ok following this jerk/surge

Can anybody advise if this is likely to be serious or is it
one of the anomolies of the automatic mini

Welcome, we need some Mini owners here. I cannot speak for your Mini as I have never driven an automatic one. I suggest that you take it to the dealer or a independent Mini mechanic and have it checked out, because if it is not "normal" it could be damaging your transmission.
