When I drive down from my car park(second level) first thing in the morning I have a knocking sound coming from what I think is around the front left side. I'm turning most of the time when it happens. When travelling straight it seems to go away. It also doesn't seem to be there when the car has warmed up. Is this caused by a wheel bearing and if so is it cause for concern??

A lot of times, sounds on cars come from the opposite side of where it really happens. Odd? yup, but it happens.

I'm going for either a wheel bearing, strut bearing, or rear CV Joint.

Just had the car leveled as it was down 10mm on the drivers side. Had them check the wheel bearing on the left side and apparently all was fine. Also needed a wheel aleignment so had that done. They suggested that the knocking might disapear after doing all that work as things like that sometimes do. So we shall see.
Thx for the advise - will keep u informed as to the outcome. Just needed peice of mind and didn't wan't to be cruising around in a dangerous car. [driving]
