Really miss the 328IC. Had to move to the bigger car for the family, thought I would drop a quick post to the Maxima. Been a good car so far and the engine is smooth. Does not have the same feel as the BMW....but not that bad. REALLY miss the convert though.

Still miss the BMW.....well, alot, but happy none the less. Went to a good home though. Anyone need a 3 series bra or some stock headlights, email me.

Still blinging it out as you would expect.....LOL.

Oh man your old one looks as good as ever, I always loved that color on her. BTW, hows the torque steer going? Hehehehe, sorry man, just had to bust your balls. The front looks more like a G35 and good job on the grill, I saw one with the same thing the other day and it was ... BAD.

A friend of mine has the Maxima and has a grill that looks like yours. In fact it is teh same color. Is it made by Fleat or something like that. I can't remember the exact name, but it look 100 times better than stock. Those Maxima's are pretty quick cars. He traded in a newe Altima for it. He loves it....

Damn guys, really missing you all. The Nissan boards are not as fun. No character there. Really miss the vert though....and now the weather is getting nice. Needed a bigger car, understand, those who remember me knew I traded in the Z28 for a Mercedes ML320, something bigger and went through hell with that....ended up with the BMW, loved it but was way to small for my growing 9 year old in the 328IC. Had over 70K on the BMW, but was at the point the maintenence was going to catch up with me and figured spend a bit more for a new car with a warranty.

Now as far as power wise....this thing is not close to my Z28.....but made my BMW feel slow. Nice power, but it is not a racer, nor was my BMW, just a nice cruiser. Thing that makes me feel good, amber/red color interior, reminds me of the BMW in a way. Love the hell out of having a trunk I can use now. Cost me a bit more, but well worth it. Could I have bought a new 3 series for around 30k....yea, but not a great one and since the body style will change soon, and maintenence on a new BMW is nuts....got something smarter on the long range as this is the last damn car I will buy new. Feels good to stop back and know you all understand why I had to trade in the BMW. Sometimes, have to do it for the family. The manumatic is similar to BMW for an auto, but the lag sucks. Engine is real nice though. Interior is sweet to me, shame I spent so much on the silver carbon fiber interior on the BMW....now, need to replace the stock easy to scratch Nissan fake aluminum trim with that when I get a chance.

Just a few more pics for ya all:

Shaved rear

Out with the Infinity BassLink....now have room to play with the 12" and the Planet Audio 600w amp....good stuff, also enjoy the sat XM radio.

Hey, these are for my son on long trips, they save me so much hastle, easy to remove and the guy who messed up my tint job payed me the money to buy these because he melted the door panel a bit with the heat gun. Don't even make fun of the DVD....it is my sons. Shut him up on the 28 hour hurricane evacuation from Mississippi in stop and go traffic to get to Texas...but if I ever hear or see that DVD again, I will go INSANE!!!

CARCUSSSSSS dude thanks for the update. you should hang around here more buddy. any thoughts on lowering that car?!?!?
Always great to hear from you again Frolf, thought about it with the front wheel gap and with the 20 inch rims, but seems the stock Maxima struts have some issues so I have heard. Lowering springs are made but no aftermarket struts. Not playing any aftermarket games with the warranty. Also, not going with any CAI or things like that. You thought BMW upgrades were bad....there is nothing for this car since the body style is so new. Right now, all the mods are pretty pointless for it, intake.....causes dealer issues with warranty work and for a few hundred bucks, not worth the hastle. Nismo.....LOL.....just like Stillen now...seems like overpriced junk for the HP vs $$$$ claims. You know how I am. Sad thing is alot of people think with just a CAI and loud exhaust....you make 20HP.....being a muscle car guy, do not fall into that trap. Rear seems fine....but damned if the front is about as jacked up as my BMW.....why the heck do most new cars have jacked up front end wheel gap and the rear is fine....go figure. If I drop it, front only.

Again, thanks all for the kind words. Real happy with the car. Does not drive like a 3 series, but like my friends 5 series because of the size. Power to weight is perfect for what it is. Bad thing.....resale value is really taking a dive, but plan to keep this car. Made sure I did not get leather as I can not stand leather in the heat or humidity....personal choice. The bronze color, same color I like BMW in. Best part.....I have more room, 4 doors, and a HUGE TRUNK....but REALLY miss the convert and the nimble ride of the 328IC. Feels nice to be in a updated interior though. Guess the skyroof does a little for me. Again, thanks alot all. Might drop by time to time. You all know will do everything I can to help you out with any BMW stuff. Next base I am stationed at.....getting me a BMW 2002.....now that is a nice beater to play with. Mark my words, getting me a BMW 2002.

Thanks Tom, bad thing is alot of the last gen body style Maxima guys are not feeling the new design, kinda the same thing here with out E36- E46 transition and now with the new Bangle 3 series coming out soon. This thing is no BMW, but a nice family car with great room. Would love to have a new 5 series, but way out of my budget. Still happy with this, good engine though, and manumatic shift option.....well, can say it really is like the E46 BMW auto/manual shift mode.....really just for fun. Would have take the manual but I am stuck with a wife who says she will never drive a stick.......oh well...what you going to do. Maxima message board is kinda slow, a bit like this....but most people gripe. Is the car loosing value, yep, you can imagine that, first year of a new body style, yep, problems will come.....do they want some performance mods....yep, but most are EXPENSIVE for what they have being a new car and do little for the engine. Hey, nice family hauler with a nice engine. Big difference from my 328IC....that was a auto also. For a heavy car, this thing moves, it is no M3, not a fast car, but my 328IC was not bought for being a racer. What I can tell you though....the resale of this new Maxima....SUCKING!!!!! Hell, my BMW did OK being a 97...well, was a convert...they hold their own.
