E36 Headlight / Bulb Question

I don't know how this is even possible, but 3 of my low beams (2 on the drivers side and 1 on the passengers side) went out the other night. Since there was some sort of freaky storm the last couple of days I've been using a combination of fog lights and high beams which isn't the safest plan.

I no longer have my manual and can't really find any good documentation on this. Are the bulbs replaceable individually (like the tail lights and brake lights) or am I going to have to replace the whole headlight?

Car is a 92 BMW E36 325i Sedan (4 door) just in case

Help and store/part recommendations is very much appreciated.

Check the fuse, might have overloaded the circuit. Low beams are 9006, high are 9005. Did you say you wired the fogs, high, and low beams to all come on at the same time? Might have been a cause as since the bulbs are protected by rubber grommets to keep the water out, doubt the rain was a cause.....is there any wiring exposed that could have shorted out against metal?[???1]

you misunderstood. i just turned the highs and the fogs on in the rain so i could see. there wasn't any rewiring, etc...

i just want to know if i can replace the bulbs (i'll check the fuses too) or if I have to replace the whole head light assembly.

That is what I found odd, my E36 will not let you use high beams with fogs as a safety measure, that is why I thought you rewired the system to allow use of fog lights with the high beams as stock, when you have the fog lights on with the low beams and turn the high beams on, the fog lights are disabled. Yep, it is real easy to replace the stock bulbs, just pop the hood, twist, and done. You can do it right there at the auto parts shop.

Wow, that was overly easy. Bulbs are 9006 for lows and 9005 for highs on my car.

Cost about 12 dollars to fix the one light. The others started working when I moved them a little bit. It's due time to replace my crummy faded passenger side light encasing though.
