Door lock problems

Hello everyone,
This is my first post here but have had much luck with other boards ie (mercedesshop). My question is....
I just bought a '93 325is. I love it. It is such a great experience. I do have one problem with my door locks. When I lock the car from the drivers side the drivers door and the trunk lock sometimes on the first try but if not, always on the second. Sometimes it unlocks right away. The passengers door only locks and unlocks itself manually. Can anyone help me out with what the problem might be???

I have same problem on my '92 325i. When I lock the car via the drivers door with the key lots of times it will unlock itself a second later. Then I have to lock it again, but then it stays. It never did it when I first got my car but it just sort of started to happen later on. It never really bothered me that much so i didn't bother to try and fix it as i figured it was just something weird with my car. I think it's interesting that you're having the same problem.

for the passengers door itis most likely the electrical motor that is bad. it happens once in a blue moon that thoselil fellows give up.

as for the rest, sorry but no idea or solution.

I think e36s have problems with the power locks. Mine act wierd all the time especially in the past few days. Usually just before I start the engine, all doors open but lately I don't always get that. When I open the driver's door, sometimes all doors open and sometimes only driver's door opens. Lately I noticed that when I unlock the trunk, all doors unlock and same goes for when i lock the trunk (I think it's supposed to do that though). I have no clue what is happening and just let it be.
