Door Glass Windows Problem

Hi Guys and Gals


I have a 1997 E36 Convertible if i send the front door windows all the way up and attempt to open the door the windows doesnt drop down. Wat i am tryin to find out is that normal behavior for this year vehicle because mine never did that since i got it <i brought this car about 3rd hand > but i was told that the windows are supposed to drop about 1 inch if they are sent all the way up on all convertibles and coupes. Can anyone confirm this behavior and if its normal where shud i start looking to sort my car window problem out

i can confirm that it should do this for coupes but i don't know about convertables. I think its a little less than an inch..

thanks for the response i have since then learnt that the windows do drop for both convertibles and coupes so i think i have a problem how to solve it now is the problem..
