I bought my 325ci last august. I opurchased in southern caliofornia and I tried pretty much every dealership from Beverlyhills, to Irvine, lonbg beach, buena park, even out to riverside. THe best anyone offered me was $500 below msrp and free mats. I heard it was even worse in Northern Cali, as a friend told me people were actually paying over msrp in some areas. I found almost the exact car I wanted at riverside which happened to be ordered by someone else. The guy couldnt come up with a cosigner on the loan for his car so ended up losing his deposit. The dealer offered me the car at 500 below msrp plus the 500 dollar deposit the other guy had lost, and so I got the car for 1000 below msrp and free mats. Not a great deal but the best I could find. YOu can probably get it a lot cheaper now that it is actually 2004. Good luck on your purchase. Just call around and make competeing dealership's offers known to each other. IF one guy offers 1000 off then tell the other dealer. Most will try to beat the other guy's prices. [thumb]

$2,000.00 less the MSRP for my 2004 330 ci convertible, ordered in January, delivered in March. No trade in, or dealer financing either. Free alarm and alarm installation. No installation charge for 6 CD player.
I got prices from dealers in the Chicago area using Edmonds.com (and my former zip code). Took best offer to my local dealer (Nebraska) who added in the alarm and free installations.
Dealer owed me a HUGE favor for leaving parts off when servicing my other BMW ('94 530i)

Ever think of trying outside of Cali..... Maybe you can get a few thousand off MSRP and take a long roadtrip home in your brand NEW Bimmer...[thumb]

Roadtrip to Torrence or to Nebraska....... as an example. [driving]

You can get one right now for 500-1000 UNDER invoice because of manufacturer to dealer incentives. Now is a really good time, otherwise wait until the fall.

330cic $500 under invoice?

Hi. I have been shopping SO CAL for a 330CIC and $2K over invoice is the best I could find. Please let me know how you negiotiated your deal. Its hard to believe they would sell the "high demand" car for under invoice.

Sorry took me so long to answer. His name was Bill..can't remember last name, and can't find his card. He was a good guy!!! They seem to make really good deals there....we bought our 2004 X5 4.4i there too.

When I got my cic, they had tons in stock...auto, manual and smg..lots of colours and packages..if they have tons in stock, you will get a good deal...it is only when the car is new/rare (ie 645cic) that there is little or no dealing.

I mean, lets honest...I LOVE my 2004 330cic.....but they are def. not rare, and there is nothing special about them, especially in Hollywood/Beverly Hills where I am.

Good Luck...it is great...you will have a smile everytime you turn the key!!

$500 below invoice

Thats pretty funny. I posted a thread on bimmerfest about asking for $500 over invoice and was getting flamed by dealers like it was an insult. I am coming to LA May 29th to buy a 330cic and hope to have your kinda luck.

No way could it be just $500 under MSRP. I bought my car from Shelly and I found out later they're one of the worst in giving good deals. And I got it for $1000 over invoice (which is def more than $500 off MSRP).

Quick way to check what price you should pay is to just price out your car at www.carsdirect.com SoCal is actually having good deals right now the last time I checked (week or two ago?). When I got my car, I actually got a little bit lower than the carsdirect price, but then again, the carsdirect price wasn't as low as it is now.

Oh, and salesmen usually leave their cards in the owner's manual black leather case. Try there if you can't find the paperwork.

And Hattori, I believe Savage BMW in Ontario may be one of the closer dealerships near you, but there are bad bad stories coming out of there on various boards. I wouldn't suggest going there. McKenna (in Norwalk) sucks ass too. My friend and my neighbor both bought from there... very regretably as they told me.
