cd changer problems...

guys and girls
iv got a kenwood 10 disc cd changer but it keeps craping out on me. iv opened it and cleaned it but it still does what it use to... it has an error message saying (on the dash) EGG yeah let me know whats up with that also it skips and my cd's are clean no scratchs let me know if you can help but im thinking is scrap and going to buy a ipod let me know of a good dash board unit for an ipod

I only have experience with alpine aftermarket units and from what I heard, their ipod support is pretty good. Allows you to control the ipod from the HU, has a nifty quick search function and it can display song titles and such on the HU. You might want to check out ebay for them (older model maybe?) since they can be pretty expensive new. Oh, one more thing, I hear that their lower models are not that great, you just pay for the company, but the higher end models are very good (thats why I mentioned ebay). Sorry I couldn't help with your existing problem, never had a kenwood.
