Cheers Sinister, heard that the 2DR had a longer bonnet but wasn't 100% sure. So just to clarify the one on the link, which is for the 2DR E36 will definitely fit the 320I Coupe?

Both of you should make sure the hood (bonnet) resin has appropriate UV coating or you'll have a yellowing, oxidized mess on your hands in a years time. I'd also recommend some type of 3M film shield (clear bra, etc.) for the front (1/3) edge. I've seen a lot of badly pitted leading edge damage from road debris, hastens the yellowing and looks terrible.

What is the advantage to this? Is the weight difference that great? I am not sure I would spend my money this way as I would guess the benefits are few. Help me understand...

im fully aware of all the disadvantages of using the carbon hood,i've already done all my homework as far as the best carbon hood to go with.
most of the hoods i've checked out all have the proper protective films and so on.
1.the carbon hood cost less or just about the same as the oem hood (and because the cost is so close together why would i get a oem hood when i can have a custom look for the same $$$)
2.its not every common to see an E36 with a carbon hood around my area (not to say that there isnt any at all)
the only differences in the hoods is the length between coupes & sedans.
so if u have a 325i sedan a 325i coupe hood will not fit.
