BMW build a new 2002tii

BMW Mobile Tradition has completed the build of a New 2002tii from parts they still manufacturer today, during the build the car was on display in a glass fronted garage in München, Germany.

Yeah that's awesome that they actually did that. Just proves they're a company full of enthusiasts.

funny thing is, that they didn´t get the TÜV (which is the technical people that inspect and approve the car) to allow it. They wanted to have special license, it was supposed to be a classic car as it is one. TÜV said that all parts were new and thus the car is new and not classic.
in this sense it is very true that BMW started to build new 2002´s

I read about this a while ago. I dont think that all the parts were available, but I think the article said like 90% or so, which is pretty awesome The front bumper on the 2002 looks crooked LOL but other than that its beautiful

These are the first clean pictures I have seen of this rebuilt car. Thank you.
I am not sure why they did not do a follow along project (web style with video and slides)and how to, it would have been awesome.
