New to this forum; seeking advice! I have a 2002 BMW 325ci; unfortunately, I missed the 3 year maintenance warrenty by 24 hours (I wasn't happy with that because I got it confused with the 4-year/50,000 miles one). It hurt my heart when my breaks went out at 44,000 miles (cost $850+).
My question is on 11 March 06, the other warranty expires. Cost for a 100,000 miles...$2,295.00. I assume it covers major car malfunctions (not routine maintenance). My thought is to let it lapse, and just put the money aside. Or should I go ahead and purchase the warrenty.
