Hi everyone, be gentle it's my first time.......I have a 1990 M3 Evo that I'd like to make run as good as it looks. It has been checked out and is generally sound (brakes, suspension, bodywork, interior etc), the first area I'd like to improve on is the engine bay. I would appreciate if anyone could give me an idea of how much I should expect to pay for a general clean up i.e. replacing worn rubber parts, wires, and maybe even a repaint of the engine block itself. I'v been looking at the m3bmw website, there are some amazing photos of what I'm after on there!

My other project after that is to upgrade the wheels. Currently it has stock BBS 16". I was looking at 17", but then found on m3bmw people had put 18" on e.g. BBS CH. I am torn between the BBS CH design or the HRE 540R design. How does an E30 run on 18" wheels, anyone??

I'll try and add a photo, my current one's are 3.2 MB and therefore too large.

Welcome aboard and congrats on that excellent purchase [headbang]

are you planning to do this job in germany? if that is the case, you might wanna check with other members here that are in germany as well whether they know a good source for parts. maybe you are living in the same area so their input would be very vital for you.

i haven´t done any of the things you describe so i am onyl little to no help for you. sorry.

btw, if you need someone to help you resizing the pics, send them to me and i´ll help you out.

again welcome aboard and have fun here. [thumb]

Thanks for the welcome. I'm in Elmpt, next to the Dutch border. I've had a little bit of work done at a local garage, but I would like to source a specialist in the area, maybe Monchengladbach or Dusseldorf. If you know of any or could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. I'll be in Germany for another 7 or 8 months.
