No matter how good condition that e30 is in, It's an expensive shell! The m10 (In NA form) is a boat anchor, L-jet with only 4 pots is 10 times worse than my old m20b23 was!
If it was cheaper you could buy it and I could give you an exclusive walkthrough on the m30 swap as I now know...

What happened? Just because you have a failed fuel pump your going to off load the car? (I spose if I could have a dollar for each times ive wanted to sell my e30)
To my knowledge the 6 cylinder fuel pumps (both in tank and out) are interchangeable throughout the models.
Pull yours out...
It is just so hard to determine what the problem could be over the internet.
Your problem could simply be gear box whine with a unbalanced front wheel causing the vibrations.... Get what I mean.
But from what you are telling us this sounds driveshaft related.

Also, depends on how much power you want. I have heard you can run a turbo m20 on the stock computer though.
To my knowledge their are no active members on this board that have a turbo e30 (does not mean you wont get some information) But e30tech.com is your best bet.
